Education, Trainings and Certifications: 1975 graduate of Stewart County High School, Received a Certificate in (IOT) Information Office Technology from Columbus Tech.  Presently enrolled in Columbus Southern University seeking a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice Administration
Other employment, previous employment: Employed at Acme Picture Frame from 1981-1985 as a payroll clerk in Chicago Illinois.  1986 to 1997 as a manager for Suwannee Swifty Corporation. 1998 to present - Sales Consultant at Sears Holding
Honors, achievements: Served four years on Lumpkin City Council - 1991-1995, Completed Citizen Police Academy in basic law enforcement training in March of 1995. Presently on Stewart County Commission since 2003.

Personal Arcola Scott has served as Stewart County Commissioner since 2003.  She is the first woman and the first African American woman ever to be elected to the Stewart County Commission.  She is married and has 2 children.  Arcola is a member of Greater St. Mark AME church where she served as Sunday School Supt., Trustee, Usher and Treasurer. Commissioner Scott serves District 5 which includes a small portion of Lumpkin, County Line, Benevolence, Wrightville and rural areas south of Richland.
